AMS Character Counts Program
Through the generosity of the AMS PTSA, the school counselors are pleased to be able to sponsor the Character Counts Program for the students of Arlington Middle.
The Character Counts Program recognizes students who are operating above and beyond the typical middle school level in work ethic and congruence of academic and social behaviors.
This program was established to let these students know that their extra efforts are recognized and encouraged despite peer pressure.
To receive an invitation to the Character Counts Celebration events, the students must:
The dates for the 2016-2017 Character Counts events are as follows:
10/27/17 - Character Counts Breakfast 9:30-10:30am
1/26/18- Character Counts Cake/Punch Reception 1:30-2:30pm
4/20/18- Character Counts Cook-Out 11:30am-12:30pm

To receive an invitation to the Character Counts Celebration events, the students must:
- Receive no Life Skills
- Receive no disciplinary referrals
- Have no missing homework, classwork or late assignments
- Have no unexcused absences, tardies, or early check-outs (as a reminder per ACS policy, a student must submit a note within 2 days of absence for the absence to be considered excused. Excused absences are based on ACS policy 6.200)
