Lesson #1: (Social & Emotional Standards) - Suicide & Bullying Prevention
Students will discuss skills to recognize, report and protect against threats to personal safety by listing appropriate techniques for handling bullying, managing stress, conflict, anger as well as recognizing indicators of depression and suicidal tendencies.
*The Jason Foundation, Inc, Youth Curriculum will be used to raise awareness and prevention of youth suicide. www.jasonfoundation.com

Lesson #2: (Social & Emotional Standards) - Harassment/Bullying Prevention to Help Improve Social Interaction w/Peers
Students will implement techniques for resolving conflict and reducing stress within a school setting by recognizing appropriate techniques for handling bullying and harassment.
*DVD and curriculum guide will be used for this lesson. “Flirting or Hurting?” A guide to help students recognize if their own behaviors might be considered harassment by others.

Lesson #3: College and Career Readiness Standards - Career Interest Inventory - Career Research and Planning.
Website collegefortn.org. The Middle School component of this program will be used to begin the exploration of careers.
